Our Foundation, Our Story.

The Atlantis Community Housing (ACH) emerged from the groundbreaking disability rights movement. In 1975, Wade Blank, a visionary activist, founded Atlantis Community, Inc. (ACI), a pioneering independent living center. His work helped liberate people with severe disabilities from institutionalization, championing their right to live with autonomy and dignity. To address the critical need for housing, the Atlantis Community Housing (ACH) was established in 1998 as a sister organization to ACI. Our specific mission is to help individuals with disabilities integrate into all aspects of society by ensuring the availability of accessible, affordable, and integrated housing.

Atlantis Community Housing is a registered trade name of Atlantis Community Foundation (ACF).
