Rental Assistance

A proud partner of the Colorado Division of Housing, Atlantis Community Housing helps administer rental assistance programs that create independent housing opportunities for Coloradans. These programs are designed to help people who face the greatest challenges find affordable, safe, and secure homes in the community.

Unfortunately, the State of Colorado has closed the wait lists for these programs. We will begin accepting applications as soon as we are notified by the Division of Housing, and we will update this information here. Please check this site regularly for updates.

Housing Choice Voucher

The Housing Choice Voucher program helps very low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities afford safe, high-quality housing in the private market. Instead of being limited to specific apartment buildings, this program allows you to choose your own home.

How It Works for You

  • Freedom to Choose: You can find and select your own housing, whether it's an apartment, townhouse, or single-family home, as long as it meets program requirements.

  • How Rent is Paid: We pay a portion of your rent (a subsidy) directly to the landlord on your behalf. You are then responsible for paying the difference.

  • Your Partner in the Process: We act as your local guide, administering federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and ensuring your chosen home meets health and safety standards.

Colorado Choice Transitions

The Colorado Choice Transitions (CCT) program is designed to help individuals with disabilities move from nursing homes or other long-term institutional settings back into community-based housing.

How It Works for You

  • Supporting Your Independence: The goal of CCT is to empower you to live independently in a home of your own.

  • Funding that Follows You: This program, also known as “Money Follows the Person,” allows your Medicaid funding to be used for housing and support services in the community.

  • A Partnership for Success: We work with the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) to administer the CCT program and provide a smooth transition to your new home.
